Mr. Armstrong has practiced law for over 50 years and is a member of the Armstrong Simpson firm of independent lawyers, a successful Canadian boutique law firm. Mr. Armstrong and his family own Armada Investments Ltd. the principal family management company through which he has built a diversified portfolio of assets and businesses. Mr. Armstrong's business experience is extensive and diverse. He has held the positions of Chairman, President, CEO and/or Director of several successful mining and exploration companies including as one of the founding Directors of Silvercorp Metals Inc. (TSX: SVM; NYSE: SVM). Under his command his group of public companies has made several significant coal, nickel, copper, gold and silver discoveries in the United States, Canada, China and Mongolia. Mr. Armstrong has also fostered several joint ventures within his companies including those with Cameco Corp., AREVA and Phelps Dodge.
William W. Willoughby, PhD, PE
Chief Operating Officer and Director
Dr. Willoughby is a mining engineer who has been a Director of International Enexco since 2008. Prior to joining Enexco, he worked for the Teck Cominco group of companies after graduating from the University of Idaho with a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering in 1989. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Idaho, and has worked in the design, operation and management of a number of projects worldwide, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Turkey and South America.
Chief Financial Officer and Director
Since 1999, Mr. Frederiksen has been a manager and the financial controller for Armada Investments Ltd. the principal management company for the Armstrong family. He is responsible for the financial oversight of numerous companies involved in such diverse activities as legal services, commercial and residential rental property, real estate development, mining, and oil and gas. He has served as a Director and as CFO for several successful Canadian private and public sector companies all of which operate internationally and several with significant resource discoveries to their credit. His current and former public company Board of Directors and/or CFO appointments include International Cetec Investments Inc, Prophecy Coal Energy Inc, Elissa Resources and Doxa Energy Ltd. Mr. Frederiksen is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and is a CPA through the University of Illinois and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Ms. Hartman obtained her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University. She has practiced corporate and securities law for Canadian listed companies since 2003. Ms. Hartman is also the corporate secretary of Natcore Technology Inc. and Doxa Energy Ltd., both TSX-V listed issuers.
James A. Gibbons, JD
Director and Senior Advisor
Mr Gibbons graduated from the University of Nevada, Mackay School of Mines in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. In the following 4 years, he served as a Captain in the United States Air Force as a pilot and veteran of the Vietnam War. He returned to the University of Nevada and completed his Master of Science in Geology in 1974 with his thesis on the Geology of the Contact Mining District, Elko County, Nevada while also working as an exploration geologist for Union Carbide. His knowledge of the Contact area is of special significance to Enexco, which has been working to advance its Contact Copper Project, located in the centre of Mr Gibbons' thesis area. Mr Gibbons' thesis still stands as the principal work on the geology and exploration potential of the district.
After completing his Master's degree, Mr Gibbons went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University, School of Law, in 1979, with emphasis on natural resource, environmental and water rights law. From 1979 to 1996, he was an Attorney at Law while continuing his military service as Colonel in the Nevada Air National Guard and receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross as a tactical fighter pilot in the Persian Gulf War. His legal work during this time included managing the land and mineral claims department for Homestake Mining Company. In 1996, he was elected as US Congressman for Nevada's 2nd Congressional District, and served until he was elected Governor of Nevada in 2007. Throughout his political career, he represented and governed one of the US's leading states for mining and mineral exploration.
Spiros Cacos, MA
Mr. Cacos has over 10 years of extensive experience in Corporate Communications and Corporate Finance, specializing in public mineral exploration companies. His responsibilities have included advising management on public relations, corporate finance and corporate strategy. He has an extensive network of contacts within the financial community including investment advisors, fund managers, industry analysts and media throughout North America, the United Kingdom and continental Europe. Mr Cacos holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations & Diplomacy from Paris, France and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University.
